The Ferrari 308 is one of the most recognisable and beloved models of Ferrari's classic era. Produced between 1975 and 1985, it is the car that put Ferrari firmly on the global stage. The design came from Pininfarina under Leonardo Fioravanti, the hand behind the Daytona, the 512 Berlinetta Boxer and the 288 GTO.

At its heart is a transversely mounted 3.0-litre V8 behind the seats, paired with a five-speed manual and Ferrari's open-gate shifter. From 1983 Ferrari introduced the Quattrovalvole engine with four valves per cylinder, bringing more power, better reliability and a more refined drive.

The GTS adds a removable targa roof to the sharp nose, sculpted flanks and twin round tail lights. Its fame grew enormously through a starring role on television, and this car wears a ROBIN 1 Hawaii plate in tribute. Today the 308 is a sought-after classic Ferrari: relatively affordable to maintain, rising in value and a pleasure to drive. The QV cars of 1983 to 1985 are widely seen as the most desirable.
