Who we are

What data we collect
- Data you give us through the contact form, valuation request, sell form, car enquiry or viewing request, private access request and newsletter sign-up: name, email address, phone number, your message, details about your car (make, model, year, mileage, location, asking price, description) and your preferred language.
- Data you share by phone, email or WhatsApp.
- Data needed to carry out an assignment: identity and vehicle documents, invoicing details.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, as recorded in the hosting provider's server logs for security.
- The shortlist of favourite cars is stored only in your own browser and is never sent to us.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- Answering your question or request: steps at your request before a contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR) or our legitimate interest in replying to you (art. 6.1.f).
- Carrying out valuations, sales and purchase brokerage, transport, import, export and registration: performance of a contract (art. 6.1.b).
- Invoicing and accounting: legal obligation (art. 6.1.c).
- Newsletter: your consent (art. 6.1.a), which you can withdraw at any time through the unsubscribe link or by email.
- Screening requests for discreet sales, so that private cars are only presented to genuine buyers: our legitimate interest and that of the seller (art. 6.1.f).
- Website security and error tracking: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f).
We do not sell personal data and do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Who receives your data
- EenvoudigDigitaal, which we use to manage website requests and our car listings (processor, [DATA LOCATION]).
- Our website hosting provider [HOSTING PROVIDER] and email provider [EMAIL PROVIDER] (processors).
- Our accountant, for invoicing and legal obligations.
- Transport, registration and inspection partners, only when needed to carry out your assignment, and only the data they need.
- Buyers or sellers in a transaction, only with your agreement and only what the deal requires. In discreet sales, identities are shared only with the explicit consent of both parties.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
All processors are bound by a data processing agreement.
Transfers outside the EEA
We aim to keep data within the European Economic Area. If a provider processes data outside the EEA, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
If you choose to contact us via WhatsApp, Meta's own privacy policy applies to that channel.
How long we keep it
- Requests that don't lead to an assignment: up to 2 years after our last contact.
- Client files, contracts and invoices: as long as Belgian accounting and tax law requires (currently 10 years).
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Server logs: as long as the hosting provider retains them, [LOG RETENTION].
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw your consent at any time.

You can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, contact@apd-gba.be, www.dataprotectionauthority.be. Residents of the Netherlands can also contact the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Security
Access to personal data is limited to Yves and the providers listed above. The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and data is processed only for the purposes described here.
